Here’s what you need to start doing today, whether you have two years or two weeks left in the uniform, to better ensure your success: 1. Start Now: The Department of Defense trained you for approximately eight weeks to be a Soldier, Sailor, Marine, Airman, Guardian or Guardsman. When you do the math, that’s about 384 hours of preparation time. Translation: If you spent two hours each day working on your transition, it would equate to about six months of time invested. Have an actual written plan of action and milestones for your own transition. It’s amazing to see that we often do this for every critical military assessment, but not for the most significant event of our adult careers. 2. Identify Gaps
It’s critical that you identify the gaps you currently have in both your professional network and your skill set. Your professional network includes those folks who can actually put you in front of a hiring manager. If you currently don’t have anyone like that in your network, you need to. This self-evaluation will tell you how employable you are and whether or not it’s a good time for you to leave the uniform (if you have a choice in the matter). A fatal mistake I often see? Those who solely rely on people still on Active Duty or people who haven’t looked for a job in years to give them job search and resume advice. Instead, use your time to meet as many recruiters and hiring managers as you can in order to get candid insight and feedback on your true market value in the civilian world, as well as how readable your resume is. (Hint: It should not read like your Evaluation Report.). I have the other actions waiting for you and many more...Connect with me today for a discovery call! To your extraordinary Success!!!

Leonardo Da Vinci was considered to be a pioneer ahead of his times, but unfortunately this OPINION was not rendered until long after his thoughts of helicopters, and other futuristic ideas actually came into being. At the time, people thought he was eccentric, if not down-right crazy. The problem was not Mr. Da Vinci, the problem was timing. Timing is crucial for everything we aspire to do. We can’t run before we walk, and we seldom walk before we crawl. There are times in our lives when it will appear our goal will never be reached, but timing is the key ingredient for ideas to come into fruition. When you put your goals, dreams and desires out to the universe, just because it doesn’t happen immediately does not mean it will not happen. The universe, God, fate, or whatever term you prefer to use often will ensure you are ready to receive what you ask for. This same entity or process will also ensure the things are in place for your heart’s desire to be delivered. You just have to trust and believe it will happen. Now of course, this process does not apply unilaterally to just anything, but applies to the concept of your true purpose in life. If you believe your purpose is to inspire others to greatness, then you must seek the information, get the training, take the courses to hone your skills of inspiration to inspire others. If you believe your goal and purpose is to be a multi-millionaire, having a “Midas Touch” with all you touch, then you must start with learning about investments, processes, procedures, investments laws, and how to make yourself a credible expert. It has been said, only in the dictionary does success come before work, and that same statement holds true to life. Know your purpose. Plan for your purpose and enact the plan to live your life of purpose. It may not seem like it is happening, or the time is coming, but it will come. It will come at the perfect time, the perfect place that enhances your life and not detract from living a life of purpose on purpose. It won’t be easy; the sacrifices, the work, but it will be worth it when life says “IT IS NOW TIME FOR YOU TO WALK INTO YOUR SEASON”! Are you ready to start living your life of purpose on purpose? It has been said over and over, few plans fail, but many fail to plan. A good plan has room for contingencies, just in case the unexpected occurs. You plan to be a millionaire by 30, but you never enact a plan to make it a reality. You plan on having the love of your life, but never even love yourself. You plan to finally live your life to the fullest, but your plan is to work to a certain age and MAYBE retire. Create a plan that can work for you and let you obtain your heart’s desires. It may not be easy. There will be sacrifices, but the pay off is worth the effort. Do your research. Do the work. Create the plan, follow the plan and enjoy the end result! Need help?
