There is an old saying, which tells us we are what we eat. A contemporary version speaks to the idea of garbage in, garbage out. Conversely, if you consume things that are healthy, then your health is improved. This begs the question, what are you feeding your mind and soul. Are you ingesting a constant diet of negativity, pessimism and doubt, or a healthy diet of positivity, optimism and hope. Many times a first look at a situation is not the correct view of that situation. Many times a hopeless situation actually has elements of hope if you search for them. A storm cloud may bring destruction, but the rain can bring healing to an area ravaged by drought. Who do you allow to speak into your life? Do you allow those that are trying to help you be the best version of you, or those that down you so they can feel as if they are the best version of themselves? If you live a life where you allow people, places and things to bring toxicity to your mind and soul, you will live a life full of toxins. When you seek people, places and things to pour healing, hope, and yes, even sometimes tough love into your life, you will find you have the impetus to reach new hopes, achieve new goals and be all you can be, as you aim high, enjoying this great adventure called life. As we watch our diet for our bodies, we must also watch our diet for our mind and soul. Who feeds you and who do you need to cut from the list of places you can spiritually eat. As we make smart healthy choices for our bodies, we must do the same for our mind and soul. Are you ready to live your life of purpose on purpose? Live, die, repeat. Great theory for a movie, but not for living a life of purpose on purpose. Life is not a video game, where if you don’t like where it is heading, you can hit the reset button and start over again. In reality, we have only one life to live. In reality, we live and die. The question is, during that period between your first breath and your last breath did you enjoy the full experience of life? Did you embrace life with both arms? There is a dash on tombstones between our birth date and date of death, so make that dash count! Don’t count how many breaths you take, but make every breath count! Set your goals. Live your goals. Enjoy your goals. Live. Reach your goals. Set new goals. Repeat. Let that be your mantra! There is a television show called the Originals. I don’t know the premise of the show, but it brings to mind the original settlers and pioneers that settled this great nation of ours. They were not sure how things would turn out in the end, but they decided they wanted a better life and the best life had to offer. They decided to live a life of purpose on purpose. Was it hard? Yes! Was it taxing? Yes. Did they face challenges that made them want to give up? Most definitely! Did they give up? No, because if they had not decided to live a life of purpose, reach their goals and make their dreams a reality, this great country would not be what it is. Be a pioneer. Be a pilgrim. Be an adventurer. Reach out for life and grab it. Hold on to it and wrestled the best it has to give you from her grasp and ENJOY IT!
Today is the present. Yesterday is the past. Tomorrow is the future. Many people believe the future is already written and there is no use to trying to change what is fated to be. We hold the power to chart our future. The gods of mythology do not hold our fates in their hands, we do. We can’t change the choices we made yesterday, because that day is gone, it is in the past. We can make wise choices today. Today is the present and when we decide to embrace the fullness of life, by living a purpose driven life, we began to be fulfilled, happy and complete. Tomorrow is the future, so why not make sure our lives in the future aligns with the life we desire today. Contact me today to schedule your Free strategy consultation. The prolific authors, George Orwell and Aldous Huxley wrote of a futuristic time in which words not only define reality but words are a person’s reality. The words you receive daily are processed by your mind and help shape and determine not only your perspective but your reality. Words given to you by what you consider to be a reputable source, define how you think and view not only the world but your life. When we limit our reality to the words provided by someone that we believe has our best interest in mind, we limit our ability to think.
When we limit our ability to think, we limit our ability to think beyond our circumstances. Eliminate “negative” words from your vocabulary that limit the achievement of your dreams. Enhance your positive words to build up your belief that what you desire for your future is attainable. Surround yourself with people that will utter words of help and not hindrance. Not all words that do not say you are great are necessarily bad. Words that propel you to your individual greatness, perceived as good or bad are all good if it helps you be all you desire to be and do all you desire to do. Live a life of purpose on purpose.
Do you find it challenging to eliminate negative words from your vocabulary? Let me guide you into a positive direction! The pessimist looks at a situation and says the glass is half empty. This implies the good is half gone or the situation is not going to get any better. The optimist says the glass is half full. This implies there may be bad, but there is still good, or there is the possibility of things improving. In the midst of adversity, few people want to be reminded it could be better or it could be worst. Many just want to overcome the situation they are facing. Shake the paradigm of a glass half empty or half full, because it signifies there is a remnant of old doubt and despair. BE HAPPY TO JUST HAVE A GLASS. The empty glass serves as a receptacle for infinite possibilities, to be filled with your dreams, hopes goals and desires! You have the power to fill the glass with whatever serves your needs. The power is yours! Let me help you build a new perspective .....
