When you expect things bad to happen, someone can tell you, you have just won a million dollars and you will worry about the taxes. When you expect good things to happen, you look forward to the positive things that can be done. Yesterday is the past. Tomorrow is the future. Today is now….ENJOY IT TO THE FULLEST!
No one has ever been able to accurately measure the speed of a thought, as it differs with each person. One thing that accounts for the difference is the internal and external barriers a person may have. A person, who has been taught their whole life they are worthless will find it hard to believe they have worth. A person who believes nothing but bad happens to them will find it hard to believe anything good can come their way. This means the thought of something good will take longer to reach a person predisposed to receive bad news. The opposite spectrum dictates a person used to the good will look for a good in what others may perceive as a bad situation. A flat tire is just a tire that needs air, or a chance to replace one with better trade to be safer. A bad relationship is discovered early before so much emotionally investment is made it would cause an emotional bankrupt if more time had passed. A person must always live in the present moment and not let the past control what they do in the present. Being mindful allows you to draw from the experience of the past to make intelligent choices in the present to help you achieve the future you desire. Be in the moment and look for the good, even the worst situation can have good attached….IF WE ARE MINDFUL!
